Regina, SK - Ryan Jacobson, CEO of the Saskatchewan Safety Council, is pleased to announce the election of Robert Taylor, BA, Canadian Registered Safety Professional, and Manager, Health and Safety at SaskEnergy, as President of the Board of Directors. Robert has sat on the Council Board of Directors for 8 years, having previously served as Vice President and has over 12 years of experience with progressive responsibilities in the health and safety industry. As a current member of both the Canadian Energy Pipelines Association Safety Management Community of Practice and the Canadian Gas Association Health and Safety Committee, Robert will provide a thorough understanding of leading practices in effective safety program management and implementation. The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of the Saskatchewan Safety Council. The role of the Board is to guide the strategic direction of the organization in fulfilling its mission of creating a safe Saskatchewan in which to live, work and play. Directors are elected by the Membership to represent their collective interests.
