Regina, SK - For 46 years, the Saskatchewan Safety Council (Est. 1955) has been bringing together individuals and organizations in the name of safety through its Industrial Safety Seminar. The Community Safety Seminar will combine sessions of relevance to all those in the province who work directly or indirectly with youth and seniors. The Community Safety Seminar will be held Thursday, October 3, 2019 at Conexus Arts Centre, Regina, Saskatchewan. It will gather together presenters, businesses, non-profit organizations, and like-minded individuals to learn about, discuss, and strategize ways in which participants can Work Together to Achieve a Safe Saskatchewan. “Safety is more than hard hats and harnesses; steel-toed boots and hi-vis vests. It’s about the physical and mental well-being of all those who live in our province, and not just while they’re at work. We need to come together and have conversations on topics like fraud, emergency preparedness, loneliness, and addictions. We need to transition all that is done well in workplaces to start applying it at home. The Community Safety Seminar is a step towards safer communities,” says Robert Weitzel, Director of Business Development with the Council.
